Day 90: I've adapted to the routine, but the unease is growing. The more I learn, the more I realize the system is far from just—from the government's true motivations to my own lawyer's failure to act.

Journal Entry:

"The lights came on at 6 am sharp. Cough is still here, lingering. I have decided to appeal the debarment but also ask for an extension in time and a hearing. The emails to Loren will be key. Since Steve is also out, maybe eff.org would be interested. Sent some emails. Working on Null a little. Do more research later.

LUNCH: Tacos, hamburger substance, green peppers, onions (very small mixture), black beans.

Got to get legally organized, work on the Big 3*"

*The Big Three (Strategic Planning Page)

1) Appeal - Motions

  • Educate yourself on the process.

  • Excessive enhancements - sentencing.

2) Compassionate Release / CARES Act

  • Put all Cop-Outs together.

  • Document all medical stuff.

3) Debarment ✔

  • Print off emails ✔

  • Craft the next email ✔

  • WAIT for documents

Notes for Day 90 (Four Years Later)

  • The Milestone Realization: Reaching 90 days was a psychological pivot. I was finally moving past just surviving the day-to-day and beginning to systematically plan my legal actions.

  • The Representation Gap: This entry documents my adjustment to the reality of having no real representation for the debarment. While Steve was still handling the direct appeal, I was already looking toward the EFF because I knew I needed experts who actually understood the stakes.

  • The Supreme Court Ambition: From Day One, I made it plainly clear to my counsel that I wanted this case to get as close to the Supreme Court as possible based on the Fair Use of Orphan Works. Seeing "The Big Three" now, I realize I was teaching myself the appellate process from a bunk because my legal team wasn't interested in the mission I had defined for them.

  • The "Big 3" Foundation: Seeing the checklist for compassionate release and debarment shows that I was already thinking like a litigator. I was documenting medical issues and printing email trails—building the very foundation I’m using today for my 2255 motion.
