Decent night sleep, almost sent the Lessig email when I remembered today's a holiday. Tomorrow for sure. I think it's all ready to go. Maybe one more proofing. Anyways long time to do list entry checked off. See what comes of it.
Worked on Outer Justice, got a lot done, didn't start Book 1 but getting closer. I like the idea of putting VH in as a minor character, and slowly get him to back to his crew. Then de-aging him, when he gets to his partner. Whom at this point I may make a woman.
LUNCH: Bone-in Chicken (1 in reserve), (2 biscuits in reserve, 1 in bird possum fund, mac & cheese (very good, ate most), mix veggie (ate all) lemon pie, ate a bite.
Basically chilled and read my book. Went outside a little. Didn't do much else, learned how to pay a bill in here (Quite a process), and print a label, pretty easy.
BREAKFAST/FOR SUPPER Holiday Meal: Wahoo! Crappy looking eggs & Potato Biscuit and Gravy. Missed opportunity! I heard the CO giving [crossed out word] the kitchen crew about the eggs, So I think he cooked the second batch and they looked way better. If I was on top of it I should have asked if I could eat the second one just to mess with those guys. Damn! Next time.

You're in my Seat - Midway (?) (maybe) Too lazy to walk down.
Four Years Later -
A pretty mild day. Most holidays and weekends were quiet because the "white shirts"—the security COs who frequently liked to mess with the campers—were at a minimum. Most of them didn't believe prison camps should exist; they thought we belonged behind a fence and expressed that opinion regularly. Any chance they got to initiate a "bust" and send a camper to the SHU, they took it.
As for the legal side, the Lessig email stayed on ice for the holiday. Looking back, I'm fairly certain this was the final draft I ever put together for him, as the correspondence naturally faded out.
But the real victory that day was the world-building for Outer Justice. I was generating more creative momentum inside those walls than I ever did before surrendering, and honestly, more than I have since my release. Writing about the outer fringes of the solar system wasn't just a project—it was a mandatory psychological escape from the sheer, grinding monotony of modern incarceration.
