You're in My Seat

TV Room Movie and Series Reviews

Prison life runs on a strict rule: know your place, and never leave it. This rule dominates the dining room and the TV room. In the dining room, your seat reflects your place within your "car" – the group determined by race, social status, crimes, and length of sentence. I'll dive into that later, but for now, let's focus on the TV room.
"You're in My Seat" (YiMS) will be my prison-themed movie and TV review blog. Think of it as watching along with me in a prison TV room, complete with the stories and insights that only come from lived experience. I'll share quick Google/Yelp-style reviews (with links for longer reads!) and tie in updates on my own legal case, United States v Gordon, and the Orphan Works Trial.
My goal is simple: build this blog, share the reviews and stories from my time inside, then open it up to others who've been through the system. Together, we can offer a unique look at modern incarceration – the new American dream.
