Journal Entry:
“Took a long while to fall asleep. Got up around 6 AM, did the HLR drink, and started on this entry for the journal. Skipping breakfast due to the eating binge I did last night.
BRUNCH: Scrambled eggs, tater tots, biscuit without gravy. Orange (which I did not take, because I am now getting conflicting reports/observations on the food staff’s access to extra food).
Worked on stuff, napped, read Flash Boys. I’ve come to realize my number one goal here is doin’ time. That is just something you endure and try to take it with style. I mean, I can study law cases and come up with new strategies, but I don’t think it will have any impact on this stretch until after the first appeal goes through. From my understanding, this appeal is just on any errors made by the Court or the Government. Future appeals may deal with things like fair use and Implied License. I might be wrong; I need to confirm.
SUPPER: Spicy hamburgerish stuff, white rice, carrots.
After, I worked on stuff & read, then outdoors. No laps; maybe I should go out earlier. Fell asleep pretty fast. Another 24 hours accomplished.
Kindle Book Idea: # Stories I wrote in Prison #
Walking Distance - Likely
The Man Who Liked to Die - Unlikely, depends on how many stories I finish here. Own Book?
Null - Unlikely, maybe a script of a scene that represents the series.
Dark Justice
Outer Justice
Bram Link-Con 2030”
Notes for Day 46 (Four Years Later)
Two major things are going on in this entry.
I started to take a very hard, realistic look at the legal aspects of my case. Of course, I still didn’t know for sure that the prosecution had nothing to do with Copyright Law and everything to do with the ‘other case.’ Also, while I was starting to suspect something wasn’t quite right with my legal representation throughout the investigation, my trial, and even now with the pending appeal, and most importantly, I had no idea to what large extent and how connected those two issues were.
This is also the time I started making a list of the short stories I was going to publish in what is now called Shadows: Stories I Wrote in Prison. That table of contents will change greatly over the next two years and may change still. My rule for including a story in the book was that the concept had to at least be drafted down (written) while I was incarcerated. Like Bram Link-Con 2030. I don’t remember what that is; hopefully, I’ll find it as I pour through the mountain of paperwork and notebooks I wheeled out in a rolling dumpster from USP Lewisburg when I left in 2024.
