You'd think prison would stifle creativity, but here's another movie idea from the SHU. And yes, it's set in a prison—because where else would it be?

Actual Journal Entry:

“Medium night’s sleep. Woke around 2-3 AM, somewhere in that range, and could not get back to sleep.

Breakfast: Standard. Ate the cereal, because if the Moon aligns with the Earth and the Stars, I might go to camp today. It will be good to get email, I guess (Note: Sigh).

Still sluggish; must have been closer to 2 than 4 when I woke. Took a power nap after breakfast and feel ready to tackle the day… in my penthouse cell. Try to finish The Man Who Loved to Die today. I’m more than a little sick of it, and now I think it’s childish and stupid, but I’m going to finish the first draft anyway.

LUNCH: Tacos, Chicken (however, mixed in with Onions & Green Peppers), Beans, Peas, and an Orange. One Chicken taco, one Bean taco. Okay, just okay.

I’m on the last scene in The Man Who Loved to Die. Going to stop until tomorrow. Got a new idea for a movie script; now that I re-read it, it’s similar to the Horror prison idea except more like a sci-fi/thriller instead. Maybe I’ll do a combo or series.

MOVIE SCRIPT IDEA: ‘OmniMax’—a black-ops special prison, kind of an updated Guantanamo Bay-type facility, except hidden in America and privately run (not connected to the U.S. Government, allegedly). Write the core story, like a man who goes into prison to rescue a billionaire’s daughter. The story takes many twists and turns. Write that first, then when I’m out, research high-tech and futuristic prisons, police techniques/technology, torture, and information-extracting techniques. Fill it full of realistic stuff. Being in here has inspired me to get it as real as possible. Needs a lot of development after the main story is laid out.

Got two letters from Mom. Hopefully, I’ll get my commissary tomorrow, and I can mail the backstock ones.

SUPPER: Probably the best supper I’ve had here at the SHU. Standard Bake Beans, collard greens, and pulled (kind of) pork, though it was definitely pork. I wonder if they made an alternative choice back on my old row.

Did a 3-2 count, showered. Seems like the end of another day. I hope I get news tomorrow. Back to the letters from home: That’s so crazy about my friend, RB, being caught four times for DUI, and he never even used to drink, or just barely. F*cking crazy."

Notes for Day 27 (Four Years Later)

A couple of things I noticed about this entry: it was incredibly short comparatively, repetitive from previous entries, and my handwriting changed. It became wider and messier.

So, it was either a lack of sleep, a loss of interest in documenting everything, or I had an inkling that I was about to be evicted from my penthouse cell. As I’ve mentioned previously, they never tell you anything! Only one-liners: "You’ll know when we know," "We’ll get to it when we get to it," and "Hurry up, pack your sh*t!"
