Actual Entry - 10/30/21 - SAT -

Took awhile to get to sleep, up at 6:30 - H/L Drink, etc, then walked around looking for a place to do the journal, maybe write on Bar, Computer Room full, Library is full of some sort of meeting, there is now exercise equipment in the common room, sigh. I losing all my writing spots, I could try the tables in the kitchen or tv room. Hmmm. Idk.

Back in my CubiCell now, only safe place to do any work. Just as well. Stay off the leg, go back to sleep if I want. Still I like to have some kind of desk.

The meeting broke up, I went to the library cause it was only H.R. who may or not be writing on his work. IDK, he's kinda of tight lipped about it.

BRUNCH: S. eggs, tater tots, WRAP, salsa Orange. (All good, filter the salsa.) Ate a wrap with cheese plus some of the xtra.

My solo day but I don't notice much difference except J.K. doesn't wear green- He's there for the whole shift.

Took a nap, power nap maybe. Not liking the looks of the [crossed out word] dinner menu, might be digging into the foil chick, I hope it doesn't smell bad.

Rainy, tired day, not getting much done, tho I wrote a lot on BarBell this morning. Computer room is non-stop not even touching that one. Why bother?

I did a little research, not much, chill till the AM on that. Tried to call Trina's phone. No Answer. Might work on The Man Who Liked to Die after supper.

Totally gross supper, Ate very little - tuna/hummus, soup. Put chips/bread in reserve

BIRDS!

Four Years Later -

A pretty standard day, where my biggest struggle was simply finding a place to write. My creative ideas were flowing, but I had nowhere to transmute them into a fixed form—which, as any good jailhouse lawyer knows, meant they couldn't be copyrighted.

I was adapting, though. I was about to get a dog crate, and an outgoing inmate was getting ready to pass down his raw, under-the-bed storage box that doubled as a legal locker. When stacked together, they created the absolute perfect height for a makeshift desk right in front of my window. What more could an incarcerated former pirate want? It was the perfect setup for documenting my legal research and creating entirely new worlds from inside an enclosed one.
