Brain no shut off. Not work ok. Sleep no.
Some diligent little solider of CO popped the big lights on at 5:50am.
Why? I ask you: WHY?
Once I got coffee into me, I'm not so bad. Early to bed tonight, NO
coffee after 3, if that doesn't work, 2 tomorrow.
Talked to E.D. About his case, in case I haven't mentioned: he got F-ED.
But I say that alot.
LUNCH: Was quite good, two chicken sandwiches. Wh Rice, beans
(very good, tried to eat very few.) Peanut butter cookies, gave
away to J.K. Celery (hard pass), 1 ck sandwich & A Roll from
J.K. went to reserves.
Displacement Doug is my new name C.C. Christianed me
with. Sigh. I'm moving soon. Mixed feelings about it. Just roll with
whatever happens. Add it to the story(ies).
Larkin told me to move by tonight, so no writing/research, moving into
my new dog-friendly cubicell. Oh joy. However, it is really cool here. less traffic,
more solitude, A window, bigger space, may not be when I get the crate, but still.
Still got mixed feelings about the move. but we'll see.
SUPPER: Meatball, potato, gravy, was bad, ate some saved a bread for
reserve.
No mail today. Disappointed. Oh well 2morrow.

Four Years Later -
The rude awakenings continued with the big lights flipping on at 5:50 AM. Luckily, that early riser of a CO was nearing the end of his Camp Devens gig. But we didn’t know that at the time.
After much debate and discussion, I was finally relocated to my new CubiCell. I was stressing about it a little at the time, mostly because of the ongoing (he might be kidding, he might be serious) harassment from C.C., since it was his CubiCell I took. Here’s why: my artificial leg needs to charge up every night. I was previously in the row of all the inmates who had CPAP machines, because those CubiCells had power outlets. C.C. was the only one on Dog Row who had an outlet. So, he got evicted and moved into a small corner cell.
But you know, he was about to graduate his dog, Webster, and said he wasn’t getting a new one. Plus, although we didn’t know it at the time, he was also a short-timer. But that's something we wouldn’t find out for another month or so, when we were all back in the SHU.
